LIFEWEEK 2023

Hope! There is hope for your situation. Life is meant to be more than simply surviving.

MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES ARE ON THE RISE.

Sometimes we are struggling, or sometimes we know someone we care about who is struggling, and we don’t know what to do. The Christian faith and the Bible have great wisdom to help us with the mental health challenges that we face today. When there is something wrong with our cars, we turn to the owner’s manual prepared by the manufacturer to find out what is wrong. In the same way, when our lives are broken, we can turn to our Creator to learn how to deal with these issues. He can help us look under the hood to find a way ahead.

Wednedsay, Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
We all have had or will have pain in our lives, and one common way to cope with pain is to self-medicate with addictions. Addictions can be as functional as workaholism, or more damaging like substance-use, or behaviours like gambling or ex- cessive shopping or technology use. Sexual addiction has also come to the forefront given how available pornography is online. In this session we will learn how ad- dictions work, and we will explore specific strategies to develop strength to break the addictive cycle and to live in freedomHeart of Love

christianity explained

A key part of mental health is having a right relationship with God. Here are some resources that explain what that means and how you can have it.

Some Helpful Resources:
How can I have a really know God?
Visit 3-2-1 to watch a four-minute video animation explaining how Jesus is the way to know God.
Questions Answered
Do you have questions about God and how to know Him, about the Christian life, about the Bible. Visit this site for some answers.
Am I good enough for God to love me?
One of the very common misconceptions about God is that He evaluates us on how good we are as a person, and that if our good works outweigh our bad deeds, He will accept us. In this video, Jabe Nicholson explains how none of us are good enough, but God shows us mercy anyway. True Life is a gift He freely offers us.
What does it mean to be a Christian?
This video is a detailed explanation (approximately 40 minutes in length) of what it means to be a Christian and how to become one presented by Sandy McEachern.
